Here is my go to list for an ultra run. I have tweaked it over the years after different experiences in each race.
There are difference depending on conditions, for example a run in 30 degress full sunshine will require differences to a cold wet one but this list is a great place to start.
Packing List
- Running Shorts & underwear
- T-shirt that does not rub with a rucksack
- Long sleeve t-shirt if cooler conditions.
- Waterproof running jacket
- Running backpack
- Running Cap
- Suncream
- Sunglasses
- Watch
- HR Monitor
- Water bottles with 2l water minimum
- Electrolytes for water, more on a hot day
- Food such as gels and bars, between 60g and 90g carbs per hour
- Plastic bags for keeping items dry in your backpack
- Fully charged mobile with event control number saved
- Debit/Credt card to pay for public tracnsport is necessary and food/drinks on route if necessary
- Breakfast bars
- Body Glide
- Compress sport belt
- Battery Pack
